About LinkBacksGoogle allows websites to have email addresses. So instead of email@gmail.com it is email@domain.com. You still log into gmail. For some reason I can't set this up in the gmail app. Any ideas how to?

07-31-2010 11:26 AMI have mine setup in accounts just fine. Just entered my email address and password and that was it. I have a gmail account, a custom domain account (using gmail) and an exchange account.

08-01-2010 10:12 AM+1. This has worked since day 1 with my Droid1 (and even on old devices with Android 1.6). It has to be a gmail hosted email domain, otherwise you use the "email" app. Originally Posted by kevroc

After I did the factory reset on my new device I was able to add my extra domain emails that I host on Google's gmail servers.
I've been reading more and more posts from people with oddities out of the box on the X that get cured with a factory reset. -
