Newb Here - Froyo?

I am very new to the Android and I saw some youtube's with the froyo update and it looks pretty good - I'm planning on picking up the X pretty soon here and I can try it out for 30 days.

Am just wondering if anyone knows/heard the possible 2.2 release date so I can try it out within my 30 day period?

Good chance the release date will be announced days before it actually occurs. It is hard to predict these things. Moto says it will be pushed out "as soon as possible".

I know it's pretty unpredictable, but just curious if there is a timeframe at all?

From what I heard.... The only thing stopping 2.2 Froyo from releasing is Adobe's flash player still being beta. Once they get the final product finished VZW will release Froyo. Don't know how true this is, but sounds legit.

Will the Froyo 2.2 update make the Droid X much better? Or is it pretty solid with 2.1?

I guess what I'm wondering is...

A - Try out the X now with 2.1 for 30 days and take it from there

B - Wait until 2.2 is available for it and try it out then


From you who have had it, what would you suggest?
