Not all contacts show up on list

I am getting close to factory resetting this phone this is so frustrating.

Background: The verizon store harvested my old contacts from my iPhone 3g and also synced up my google contacts.

Not one of my old iPhone contacts show up in the "All Contacts" list. However if i do a contacts search, they are ALL there. How do i get them to show up when I just click on the "head" contact link?

I used this method and worked just fine. Remember to go into the settings for Contacts and uncheck/check the Gmail Contacts Synch...took a few minutes to synch, but then everything was there. -kb

Thanks! I just did a factory reset (only had the phone for less then 24 hours) and used that link to pull all my old contacts into google. Definitely a pain, but it'll be worth it in the end i suppose.
