megapixels means nothing when it comes to image quality. at 3mp, that's still enough to provide a high resolution image that will fill a standard computer screen. motorola using an 8mp camera was pure marketing, since theyre camera is garbage to begin with
People may not like the answer to that but as I mentioned in another thread, I just bought my Droid X (at full price) specifically interested in how the camera compares to my Incredible.
So far - and I have .516 - the Incredible has less "shutter" lag and takes sharper pictures both indoors and out at all resolutions.
I will give it a few more days but photos are important to me (as they are to most parents of little kids) and I always carry my phone while the camera is often forgotten home.
Well my camera is not working, nothing comes up at all just a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Video nor stills.
In daytime go to camera. Set exposure to 0 iso to 800.
I set it to 8mpg with no flash.
Also play with your settings. Combination iso and exposure.
The higher the exposure the more light comes in same with the iso the higher the iso the more light. I like this...,

moto doesn't do cameras very well. This is strike 2 for them..
Wonder if Droid2 will be any better.
I heard theres a new update coming out thats like .604 and that might fixed the camera. Have any of u gotten it? Is there anyway to get it faster because some people already have it.
I just returned the ip4 and got the droid x, picture wise the ip4 takes better pics . The difference can be seen once you have it on the computer but for a phone imo it takes good pics, am happy. Don't miss the ip4 as much as i thought .
