Restore Backup

    Restore Backup

    When restoring a backup should the wipe CACHE/DATA stuff be done also??

    considering everything from that backup... data and cache... is going to be restored you'd almost think not... but since it is all different data and cache info timewise... plus you may have been on different rom... I don't upside of NOT wiping all. You save a few minutes?

    Not sure of the process a nandroid restore follows though .. it seems like it would be built in for safety sake and in which case a user could skip wipes...

    crud. good question. that would have been easier to type. but you can certainly safely wipe before restoring a nandroid.

    I've done a lot of nandroid restores over the past two years and I've never wiped anything prior to doing the restore.
