    Phone on 2.3.340 froyo won't update ota

    Recently my camera button wasn't working on .596. I couldn't use bootstrap to flash anything without the select button(camera button). So I decided to flash/sbf back to 2.3.340 stock unrooted. I found out I can send my phone in to motorola and have the camera problem fixed under warranty. The problem now is that the phone won't uodate to .602 or .605. or whatever it should be. I go to check for updates and it says my phone is up to date. Anyone else having a problem like this? Or any suggestions? I want the phone to be unrooted and on gingerbread when I send it in to avoid any suspicion.

    you can sbf to 602 easily...
    And to get into bootloader mode... You can just use power + both volume keys... That should get ya into bootloader mode... Then you can update to 602... And if you want take the ota to 605... But that's just a keyboard fix

    I didn't know if there would be an issue doing that since I hadn't been on 602 or 605 before. I'll flash the 605sbf since that's probably what all unrooted DX's have been updated to. Thanks for the reply.

    There won't be an issue...
    And I haven't heard of or seen a 605 sbf...
    The 602 will work for ya though
