Renaming a checked sum file

When I backup my DX it is automatically given a file name. I would like to give it a file name that will be easier to remember what it is. And of course when I do that and try to restore the file I get a check sum error. Is there a way to re-check sum a file?? Thanks

you can rename them easily by going into ROM Manager, hitting Manage and Restore Backups and selecting the one you want to rename and pressing "rename"

if that's what you were doing and it was causing the problem then I'm not sure why
