Just wondering what settings y'all use for DroidX. For optimal battery saving.

I run the follow set-cpu settings. They are fairly self-explanatory but hopefully this will help you guys get a bit more battery life from your DroidX. If all else fails go buy the extended battery from Verizon (i did, and it is a HUGE difference in the amount of time you will get from your phone).
Main
Max: 1000
Min: 300
Scaling: ondemand
Set On Boot (enabled)
Profiles
Temp > 55.0* C (300max/300min/ondemand) (priority 90)
Charging (1000max/300min/ondemand) (priority 80)
Battery < 15% (300max/300/min/ondemand) (priority 70)
Screen Off (600max/300min/ondemand) (priority 50) < you can adjust max/min to your liking but it CAN affect the performance of your phone coming out of "standby"
I've left the Advanced tab alone, but maybe someone else can chime in and suggest better settings for that tab, as I know that the sampling rate can affect the performance of the phone and how it responds to the profiles.
You can (obviously) also set times in your profiles but MOST people probably use that for when they are sleeping (and if you have a profile for the screen off situation, the rest may not matter).

Awesome man thanks. I'm setting my settings to that now.
How long was it before you noticed a difference?

Also does your temp ever actually get over 55°c?

They can get close when playing a game, definitely.
As far as how long it takes to notice a difference. Well that depends on what you expect to notice. You'd probably have to give it a whole day of normal use to see how your battery compares to what it was before you started using setcpu. You might also want to make sure you perform the batter calibration technique that you can read about on here.
Link to the battery technique?
