My upgrade is coming in December. The Bionic is too pricey for me. What's the next best smartphone other than the Bionic!? Or should I wait?

I suggest going to Verizon's website and compare models to see which devices have the features you require with a price within your budget.

With all the rumors about new phones on the horizon (Prime/RAZr/Vigor), it's probably safe to assume the Bionic will be much cheaper by December. I would guess that as soon as any of those three devices is released, the price on the Bionic will drop significantly.

I agree with what Lars said, and if the Bionic is still too pricey for you at that point, then wait. The X is still a great phone even with all the new stuff coming out. I don't have a single complaint about mine

Amazon is having a sale now all vzw phones for. 1¢ might be worth checking out so that you can re up sooner

This is a good problem to have! I'm in the same boat. I still love my X it does more then a device should need to. I'm up for my upgrade in December also, and am pretty sure I'm going for the Prime! I hope it get's released soon so I have a few months to read about all the pro's and cons before I make the final choice.

How do you guys have upgrades already? Were your DXs purchased used (or full retail) in the middle of an existing contract? The phone was released July 2010. By my calculations (i.e. me counting on my fingers... lol!) your 20-month mark shouldn't be until March 2012 sometime... Or did you somehow score an early upgrade?

^They were still doing one year contracts back then. Man, I wish the Nexus was going to be a Moto phone!

I'm not sure how anyone else has one so soon, but I've had an unused upgrade since July of this year because my Droid X was given to me for free when my girlfriend got an iPhone
