    Root for 4.5.605 new update?

Can someone point me in the right direction of how to update my phone with the OTA update Verizon is rolling out right now for the X? I am rooted and if I recall correctly from the last update, I will need to SBF back to Froyo stock and flash the latest update. Just want to make sure I dont need a new Z4 download or anything else. Please share or share a link with the easiest method. Also where to get any files, including the update I need to flash. It says it mainly addresses the keyboard issue, but I have never experienced the issue?
    Thanks in advance

There is no need to sbf all the way back to froyo, just sbf to .602 and then accept the OTA to .605. You can then reroot the .605 OTA if you'd like.

If you are rooted on .602 then you shouldn't lose root when moving to .605, if you do then .605 can be re rooted with the one click D3 root

    [Root X] D3 1-click Root Method - Works on GB.602 and GB.605

if you haven't been experiencing the keyboard issue, then there is no need to update

I am on 602 right now. Maybe I have confused myself, but I was thinking I had to go all of the way back. So the z4 is still good for the newest update then?

Gingerbread can be rooted via the d3 exploit so there is no need for z4root. Z4root only roots froyo if I'm not mistaken. I prefer to take my OTAs from a clean sbf, but that's just me. I have read that several people have accepted the update while rooted and were actually able to keep root, but this hasn't been the case for everybody.

Absolutely no need to SBF. Here is what i did:

    Previously Rooted X.
    Entered recovery.
    Made back up.
    Wiped cache. Rebooted.
    Downloaded update and installed it.
Ran Z4 root. Completed but no root.
Ran Motorola One Click root. Completed but no root.
Followed instructions found at this link: http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?3714-ROOT-UNROOT-Droid-3-root-instructions-(One-Click-added-for-Windows-Linux-OSX)/page15&p=77624&viewfull=1#post77624
    Reran One click.
    Root successful.

It has gotten to the point that sbf'ing is so easy (especially through the bootable cd linux scripts from 1KDS) that it seems like recommending an sbf flash wouldn't really be a big deal. A lot of people, myself included, like to install OTA's from a fresh sbf and then root after the OTA is complete. It is purely preference, but people seem to have a lot less issues in the end if they just sbf, take OTA, then root. It's obviously up to you what you do, but this is definitely the process I recommend.
