I just updated my droid x to the 2.3 version and now I can't get thru a day with the battery. I try and turn things off but so much more turns on now automatically...any thoughts or should I go back to my droid 2
thanx,
becky

Try optimize toolbox on the market. It's free. One of the options is start up manager. You can set it up to not allow the apps you don't want to auto start. I was surprised to see how many I had. I think it was 29. Now I only have 5. It may help. And I'm sure you're aware of this, but if not, turn your screen brightness down to 35% or so. That's the biggest killer of battery.
More than likely a factory reset will fix your problem.
I put that app on my phone. Not to sure tho so I made a list that shuts most everything off when screen turns off. Is that the general idea to save battery power? Thanx so much
