About LinkBacksHow do you get the Gmail notifications to work? I installed the notifications app but on which icon is the number of unread displayed? The normal Gmail app shortcut icon? Thanks.

08-17-2011 09:25 AMThe Gmail notifications were broken with the latest Gmail update. They are apparently working on a fix or workaround. You can see the notice on the dev's site -

08-17-2011 09:27 AMIt actually wont work if you're using the latest gmail. The last update for gmail, to 2.3.5, does not allow 3rd party apps to sync with it. For example I have launcher pro plus and the gmail widget and unread count on dock no longer work.

08-17-2011 09:31 AMAh, thanks guys. Is there a way to uninstall the latest gmail app or uninstall the update? Im on GB .602. I could do this before with Froyo but can't seem to do it now.

08-17-2011 11:36 AMYeah it should just show up on the dock icon. Although admittedly I haven't used it in a while so I'm not sure that its still the same. It most likely is though.
