Camcorder media profile for cm7

Can someone explain why we can't simplyy make a new media profile for the camcorder that has 720p??

Wish I knew why, but when I got the bright idea I'd trying this, the phone wouldn't get past the Motorola logo on boot.

Same here. I've been able to swap numbers around all day long but I went to switching the different types of encoding and ended up stuck at the M logo. Now simplicity says to me that it would just be as simple as expanding the width to 1280 and the height to 720p on the profile and the same on the restrictions on the codec within the media file under system/etc . Editing it does work. I can up the quality for low and make it exactly the same as high. But theres something else that just doesnt play nicely with the resolution that high. Is it the m4v? or just does the camera apk not play nicely with HD recording?
