    Screen shot confusion...

I want to get a screen shot of a game I'm playing but I'm finding conflicting information on how to do that. One source says you have to be rooted to do a screen shot. Another says you must use an app and yet another hints at some mysterious key/button combination to get the desired result.

Could someone knowledgable please clear this up for me?

    Thanks.

OR... You can use the android SDK kit to take screenshots. There are numerous guides online! (you don't have to be rooted)

I thought I read an article like a month or so back saying that with GB we would be able to take screenshots with out root... But I guess that was just a rumor because I haven't seen it recently nor have I heard anyone being able to do it.
