Is it easy to get rid of Blur?

What kind of benefits do you get after doing so?
u have to root and install clockwork mod and bootstrapper and download a custom rom of ur choice. a bit tricky at first but u should get it after a while. for me almost double battery life, faster, and no freezes
Running rooted Droid X with Apex 2.0 Alpha 2 & ULV at 1.15 ghz

I agree with what these guys are saying but please please please be aware that the bootloader is locked meaning that u HAVE to know your safety nets before rooting otherwise we will be walking u through sbf or sbf zips.
Btw....it's nearly impossible to brick the dx so don't let that scare you.

I took my friends X, put launcher pro on it, cranked up the speeds, then installed the Spare Parts app and set the animations to "Fast" and the thing was blazing. Stock too.

Another friend of mine has his X rooted, overclocked, and rommed, and let me tell you, it's BLAZING fast. I think the X has a lot of life left in it. Don't be fooled by the stock store model that everyone's grubby hands have been on.

    I never liked the DInc.
My X is completely stock and it's plenty fast... certainly faster than my sisters DInc

Replacing the launcher definitely removes the lag, turning off animations will make it feel that much snappier.

I loved having MIUI on my Incredible, but the 3D graphics speed was awful in comparison to the X.

I've had Dinc since last friday so just under a week and I feel compared to my X which I had since release day other than battery Dinc is just as good if not better only downside are oem battery is pure fail on the Dinc. I've since picked up an extended battery i'm at about 15hrs since its full charge (2150Mah) htc battery. so far its doing better than my X did with the extended battery verizon has(1900?1950Mah). The Dinc is also the first phone since my HD2 that doesn't have a 4.3" screen so it feels small

I'm romed and OC'd and my phone is suuuper fast. I've mentioned this before, I watched several vids last weekend of the new dual core Atrix and my phone pretty much keeps right up with it. I just came from the D1 back in January and I thought the X right out of the box blew the D1 away.
