    Only want Phone no data...

    I'm going on a cruise this coming week out of the country and I'm taking my phone along. I don't plan to use it much (maybe if I find a WiFi hotspot I would check email and such but thats it). My concern is that in case Visa decides to freeze my card until I call them back, I might have to make a phone call. If I turn on my receiver I don't want a ton of text messages and other things rolling in.

    My question is:

    Are there any settings or apps (I'm rooted) that could turn off everything except the phone radio? And does this stop texts from rolling in?

    I searched the word "cruise" from the search button above and found these, there's probably more so you may want to try this.

    Turning off all data
    Leaving on a cruise ......need an app please !

    This is the one I was looking for
    Going on a cruise? Make sure to turn your phone off.

    Heard a few horror stories on here... I'd turn the thing off and pull the battery.... only turn it back on for emergencies...
