Suddenly not receiving texts

Not sure whats happened. Everything was working great...until today. Didn't receive texts all day. I sent a bunch of texts, but no replies back. At about midday I thought to myself..."havent got any texts today"....thats odd cuz Im a heavy texter.

Im using stock text app.

Played around with the phone, did multiple searches here on the forum but couldn't find anything to solve the issue. Finally decided to just turn off the phone and turn back on.

WOW! About 40 texts came flying in! What the heck happened.

Everything seems to be working again as Ive been texting all night again....

Any suggestions?? Is this a recurring issue I should be concerned about? Texting is a big part of my communication as its fast and to the point. Lots of my business gets done quickly. This kinda spooked me...I NEED my texting! LOL

Are you referring to SMS text messages?
Was your phone on WIFI?

Could have been a tower related, or Verizon system related issue.

Yes, was referring to SMS text. Not on WIFI. Was on 3G with 4 bars. Phoenix metro area. Excellent signal.

You may be right in that it was a Verizon or tower issue. So far so good since.....

Just remember that SMS does not use 3G at all. It uses the base CDMA signal.
