If you rooted your Droid X and installed Titanium backup, and then installed Bootstrap recovery, someone told me to put the extended battery in and let it die, turn the phone off, and turn it on in recovery, wipe the battery stats and then charge the new battery. let it go down to 5% and recharge and do this one more time. Now my extended battery is on a full day 2 without being charged and I am still at 50% battery life. That solved my problem! What a relief! Hope this works for others.
The reason you have to do this is b/c the phone is calibrated to the stock battery not the extended battery so you have to wipe the phone's memory of the stock battery, basically, and have it learn the new extended battery, to put it in simple terms.
Sounds like a plan. I can only get about 9 to 10 hours of battery life on my X with my extended battery from verizon with moderate use.
