    Angry alarm clock quit on the job...

    I have my alarm set to go off tues, weds, thurs, fri. I was shocked this morning to wake up with my room much brighter than it was supposed to be. I had slept in an extra 45 minutes! I have it set to go off even with the phone on silent but my sound was on. so i set it for 5 minutes later and waited but it still didnt go off...

    WTF did i do?

    Just a suggestion, try "Betteralarmclock" in market. It also has the animated weather included. Is a free one available.

    DON'T USE A TASK KILLER (thanks to infinity for reminding me)

    When setting the alarm, be sure that your alarm volume is turned up. (Use the volume up button on the side of your phone.)

    Make sure that you have chosen an alarm ringtone that isn't silent and that your phone is set to go off and not just vibrate.

    Make sure the checkbox next to the alarm is checked. After setting the alarm, if you press your phone's home key, some small text should pop up for a few seconds telling you that the alarm will go off in 8 hours and 12 minutes...or whatever the proper time til alarm is.

    If all this is set up properly, the only other problem is something that some people with a Milestone/Droid 1 were experiencing where their phones were stuck in a sleep state...but I kinda doubt you are having this problem on the X. If so, the way they solved this problem was to install an app that kept the phone from entering deep sleep. I think it was called OS Monitor.

    That happened to me 2 days ago, I started using my blackberry alarm ever since that happened. was almost late to work myself. My lady has a Mytouch with T-mo and hers did not go off at all this morning.

    yes, that seems to have been the problem,
