The "Droid" line is continuing b/c of the physical keyboard. I'm not sure that the "X" line would really need to continue since most of the phones coming out are similar construction (i.e. touchscreen, 4.3 or bigger screen...) Unless they decided to keep the "X" (and possibly "Incredible") line as a mid-range, 3G only option. Either way you look at it, there are far better phones on the horizon.

I think the point with respect to Motorola offering a number of DROID X alternatives is a good one. The RAZR in particular is very close to what one would expect the X3 to be. Yet the form factor is somewhat different, and most importantly to me, the thin design is achieved at the expense of having a sealed battery. Im very happy with the DROID X form factor, if I could get that with 4G and a general hardware refresh (and of course ICS) I'd be a happy camper indeed! Here's hoping
