I am trying to boot into Clockwork recovery from Rom Manager.
So far no go.
I haven't seen good detail instructions for this for the Droid X.

You probably need to get the droid x bootstrapper. I read on some other threads that clockwork doesn't handle the locked bootloader properly and that's what bootstrapper does. You need both programs to have it work.

I have already installed the bootstrapper. No go in booting into a recov mode.
Perhaps the are actions I need to take during bootup to activate it and not do the standard boot.

rom manager is garbage for the dx. just use bootstrapper. open the app, click "bootstrap recovery" then "ok" then "reboot recovery". should get you into the clockworkmod recovery area.

Get back to stock:
Stock "M" Boot Image for Droid X
Change "Verizon Wireless" Display Text on Your Droid X
