Production Update:
Our plastics molder has had a slight set back. While molding our first article samples yesterday, the surface finish in a couple of areas was not acceptable and they have taken the tool down for repair. It looks like it will be a few more days before they are back up running our production order for ...the ezeStand X. At this point we are expecting to be able to ship the new ezeStand X on January 3rd.


In the mean time, here are a few renderings of the design. Some notable features:
Cable clamp feature to hold the USB cable onto the ezeStand
Wider design to accommodate phones up to 2.85" wide
Lower side arm design to accommodate phones with lower side connections

Hi idiotekniQues,
The ezeStand does have rubber padding on the bottom surface and all surfaces which hold the phone so it is pretty stable and grippy, but there is nothing which necessarily holds the phone in the stand other than gravity so if you happen to take a fast corner or accelerate/decelerate quickly, the phone and or stand may spill off the dash
Note however, that with the ezeStand XL is it easy to remove the magnet which is placed inside the base and flip it around to activate the Car Dock mode rather than the Multimedia Dock mode.
