Issues with Media Dock

I have been using the Motorola Media Deck for Droid X for several days now and it's been working great.

Tonight, however, when I went to put my phone in (I have it on my nightstand and use it with Bedside), the screen wouldn't respond at all if it was docked. The minute I popped my phone out of the dock, everything was great, but any time I put it back in . . . nothing.

Any ideas? Anyone experience this before?

I don't have that issue but its a pain in the ass to set it in the craddle. Is that a problem for you?

Serious pain to get it properly docked. Last night it seemed to work, but at some point during the night (not sure how, as it's on my nightstand and not really in a position to be messed with) the power cord fell out, so my phone lost it's charge and I overslept this AM.

Love the idea of the media dock, but in practice it's starting to piss me off a little.

Oh, I forgot to mention. The Motorola Vehicle Windshield Mount is also a pain. I have them both and I guess I'll have to live with the hassle of docking them.

I don't think it's the mounting units but the Mini USB connectors.

I have the same. The car dock is a pain also, but at least I can use it with my case. I have to pop the case off every night to use my media dock. That's annoying.

What case did you get? I purchased an Otter Box Commuter case and it doesn't slide into my car mount.

Oh how I feel the pain. The car dock is getting a little smoother now.

It's not great for protection, I'm sure. I got it for the ever important 'cute factor' lol. I'm pretty girlie.

It fits great in the car, but not at all in the media dock.
