Custom comics-related wallpapers, boot logos & animations

I know it shouldn't matter, but are you placing your animations in /data/local or /system/media? I always place mine in /system/media for space concerns. I've never tried one with sound in /data/local.

Turns out it's a symlink problem with gingerbread. I flashed my froyo rom and it works perfectly. Sucks cause gingerbread is so great and fast. I'll let some devs know so hopefully everyone can have boot sounds on gingerbread. Meanwhile I'll stick with silent boots on my gingerbread rom ;-P

Awesome, I hope this will help everyone! Can you make the symlink and fix it for yourself? Not that I have any idea how you made that determination or would know what to do about it. I'm too much of a linux noob to troubleshoot much of anything. Windows yes, Linux I wish

If I had the time to switch back n forth froyo and gingerbread roms to find out exactly where it's linking I probably could do it, but it's really something that needs to be fixed on the developer end so it'll just work. Maybe if I had 2 phones so I wouldn't spend hours flashing back and forth lol.

I'm sure a fix will be found.

I've made a couple of wallpapers by request and here they are, still a WIP. The basis is the official Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 wallpaper, which I've removed text and enhanced slightly. In the alternate version, I turned one of the blades red.

Still no gingerbread fix for running sound on boot, can anyone hook me up with a dev that's actually willing to look at the problem? I pretty much keep getting cold shouldered.

Maybe someone has a friend at xda?

Any help is appreciated.

Haha I like that :-P if I had any experience with compiling or knew anything about the sound in boot mod I'd gladly take it on..sadly.. no. Lol
