So I've been keeping an eye out on this whole Android Phone 7 thing, basically since Droid-Life first posted anything about it, about a month or so ago because I like the way Windows Phone 7 interface is done, and I LOVE Android. But every time I've had the same problem. Why can't you mix and match sizes together on one screen without a hodge-podge of dimensional problems? So what did I do? I took it upon myself to fix it. And fix it, I did. After 7 long hours in Photoshop (from 1-3PM and 10PM-3AM), I FINALLY got every dimension of 1x1, 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 2x2, and 3x3 to match up. Now, there are some conditions. These were made for Droid X. I have a friend who tested these on his Droid 2 and they matched up fine and, in theory, they should work on D1. Also, these will only match up under the following conditions. If you are on Launcher Pro or ADW (for sure, theoretically any launcher that allows 4 columns and 5 rows) with 4 columns and 5 rows, notification bar OFF (I tried it on, the dimensions don't match up, no I will not make all new dimensions for people with notification bars, just turn them off, you can have a swipe gesture in ADW to bring down your pulldown, just set that).I hate to be this guy, but I'd like to say for the record that I don't NEED credit, but if you're giving it, I'll take it.
Now, since I did spend 7 hours of hard work on this, I will not help if you don't duplicate my situation exactly. If you do and dimensions are still off, well, I'll do the best I can, just post which images are off and I'll do my best.
My Situation:
Droid X
ADW Launcher
5 rows, 4 columns
No notification bar
Koveleski's OMGWP7ONADW theme
Should be the only things affecting it.
Now, a screenie and the zip (containing test images only [some real ones] and the PSDs [Open in GIMP or Photoshop])
Screenshot:
And the zip is below! Enjoy!
