High Quality Wallpapers (For picky people)

I don't know about everyone else but I'm very disappointed with all of the images in the gallery. I am talking about the quality of the images, I may not been looking hard enough but it seems that almost every image is a .jpg (yuck). Most people do not notice, but I have been working with images for a long time and it kills me when I see low quality images that could easily be saved in a better format. After all, hard disk space is no longer much of an issue.

I have found a few good wallpapers that I like to use, and am going to start formatting more desktop wallpapers into the Droid resolution and I will be saving them as .png and labeling them as HQ in the gallery. Please do the same if you have any high quality .png images. It does make a huge difference on the phone display.

When uploading HQ images, add "HQ" to the tag list.

what am I doing wrong that I can't figure out how to download these? it says the file's dimensions are 960x854, but I always end up with 600x600 or whatever size is actually on the page.. I can't click on the image to get the higher res version, and there's no download link.

When I first downloaded some wallpapers and added them, they looked like crap until I figured out that you had to stretch the crop box. I think people are downloading it and just adding it, which, even with a HQ picture will look like crap. Just a thought.

Great work! I just wish I could find more wallpapers like the default Droid wallpapers. I love the lines/checker patterns throughout the default wallpapers.

Are you viewing them on your phone or on your desktop?

its not letting me use that .png for the wallpaper.. shows up in my wallpapers folder but when i go to select it i dont get an option to use it.
