Possible to get just a ROM's wallpapers?

Is it possible to get just the wallpapers from a ROM, rather than flashing the entire ROM to get to the wallpapers that come with it? I had a wallpaper from a ROM that was awesome, but I changed it to see what another would look like and lost it. I've been trying out a lot of ROMs recently and my first two guesses have struck out, so rather than flashing every ROM out there to find this one wallpaper, it'd be awesome if I could just extract the wallpaper from the ROM. I've tried looking through the ROMs' directories, but no dice - maybe I just don't know where to look?
