Forgive me if I'm wrong or come on strong, but wouldn't that mean the roms would need to be built from the same source? Like I stated earlier, that takes away from the uniqueness of each rom. Yes I know most roms are built from either CM or AOSP. Since I;m not really a developer, I really don;t know what REALLY makes arom unique. I can only speak from the users point of view

Yes it would Swift. But if people were to establish which base is best, or just pick one (I'm not sure if there's really significant differences?) it would allow for more open modification. Establishing standards wouldn't close the options, it would open them on a higher level.

Alright, here are some icons I just put together. They were made using UltraLix's (think I spelt it right) psd template. He provided these to anyone, but I thought this would make it simpler for anyone who didn't have PhotoShop etc. Right now there's about 10 icons. I'm basing them off of apps that I currently have. Once I have time, I may start being open to requests. Posting this here because, A. Didn't want to open a new thread for something so small, and B. I wanted to show what I was working on since I already stated I'd love to be involved in this as a programmer or designer. I may start changing the colors of the text, maybe even applying little backgrounds...not sure how it would look as a small icon.

EDIT: They go with any simple black theme, but probably could go with any. Once I start changing colors they could probably go with anything. Also, some of the icons are repeats. For example, the original designer already provided icons for stock apps, like the Camera and Contacts, etc. I thought some of them were redundant and just weird. IE: One icon says PICTURE/VIEWER, I changed it to PICTURE/GALLERY...another one is FB/CLIENT, I made it FACE/BOOK.....it's small things that really count. And yes, all the text in the icons is capital. I tried including lower case letters but due to the icon's small size, it makes it unclear and pretty blurry.

Credits go to UltraLix (hope I spelt that right)
