black notification bar...

This is a discussion on black notification bar... within the Droid Themes forums, part of the Droid Hacking category; are there any themes available for the DROID that have a black notification bar like the hero ?!?!...

    black notification bar...

    are there any themes available for the DROID that have a black notification bar like the hero ?!?!

    I know GDE has a few free themes that have the black notification bar.

    To my knowledge, themes CANNOT change the color of the notification bar. At most they can hide it.

    I have actually emailed the developer of one of the themes that showed the black bar and he said it was because he rooted his phone. So until a root for Droid is available, we have the ugly white :/

    Yeah...I really like the black bar with blue as well. When the Droid is finally rooted I will be trying to find a secure way to change it. I don't know why it's not standard to be quite honest. It should be a basic Android setting...

    Phone has to be rooted for the black notification bar. GDE developer states it in the previews for the theme downloads in market. I'm bummed too
