Help changing phone icon...

First off I am on udFroYo beta. Im using Adw. I want to change the phone icon to a custom one but here is what I am getting.

1: better cut doesn't work for creating a phone shortcut on froyo. Every phone entry results in "application not installed on device" Or whatever it says.

2: I can use ninja morph but the icon doesn't change in the app menu. It seems to only change the phone icon that comes up in the list if you click someones contact icon. I am replacing the icon in phone.apk under system/app/

Until anderweb implements some sort of icon changing similar to launcherpro's I feel I am screwed for changing that particular icon.

Adb pull phone.apk, replace the icon, adb push it back.

I get the exact same result that I get when using ninjamorph.

Its pulling the icon from somewhere else. It has to be. I just cant find it.

I think it's in the Contacts.apk.
