    Remove google text from search bar

    I was wondering if someone could tell me how to remove the "Google" text from the search bar on the droid's home screen search widget. I know that pete did it in bugless beast and others have done it, but I just applied a theme to my launcher/home and it added the text back. If its an .xml file please tell me the name of it so that I can find pete's and switch it with the one that is applied now. Thanks!

    in whatever launcher you are running there is a file called "placeholder_google.png" in /res/drawable-hdpi

    make that image blank via photoshop and apply it back into your launcher

    no more google in search widget
