Launcher Pro Hack????

Hello brains behind my rooted droid goodness... I can't do any of your genius but I have been a very happy user... so thank you

Here's what I got
Cyan 5.0.7.1 / HexFusion Theme / LauncherPro

I've applied the following boot animation and Beautiful Widget..
Superman Boot Animation and Smoked Glass Clock

I would like to change the app drawer button with a superman logo...
I know where the file is located
via Root Explorer - system/app/LauncherPro.apk/res/drawable-hdpi

There are 3 files -
all_apps_button_focused.png
all_apps_button_normal.png
all_apps_button_pressed.png

So given that ... how to i replace these.. I can't figure out how to do it with Root Explorer.

extract the launcher.apk, save it to your computer. Rename the file with the extention ".zip"

Open it up, and search for the files. Replace them, and rename the file again, but this time with ".apk"

Transfer back to your phone, and copy back over using Root Explorer.

Simple. :-)

Also, you might want to check out NinjaMorph on the market. You can do this all right from your phone with this app.

Man every time I try to explain in broad strokes, no one ever gets it.

I use RE and 7zip (I don't rename to .zip but I know others do) and I believe on mine the file is com.fede.launcher.apk

And you have to set the permissions correctly before syncing and rebooting.

- Open root explorer
- Click system > app
- Locate LauncherPro.apk, long press on LauncherPro.apk > click Copy.
- Press the back key on the phone two times, you should be at sdcard > click paste.
- Plug your phone into the PC.
- copy LauncherPro.apk to the desktop of your PC.
- Right click on LauncherPro.apk
- Choose 7zip > Open Archive
- Double click res > drawable-hdpi
- When you have the drawable-hdpi folder open in 7zip take your png files and drag and drop them into 7zip.
- You should get an error message, CLICK YES
- Now just take LauncherPro.apk that you edited on the PC's desktop and move it back to /system/app/ on your droid.

- copy LauncherPro.apk to the desktop of your PC.

-set permissions to 644 by long pressing the file and selecting Permissions (see below).

Or if you don't have root explorer, lets say you put the Launcher Pro in /system/app...these commands are for adb shell
*open command prompt*
adb shell
sysrw
chmod 644 /system/app/com.fede.launcherpro.apk (I think that's the name?)
sysro
reboot

I'm trying to change my app drawer button as well but I can't find the LauncherPro.apk file on my phone. I'm using Root Explorer and going to system>app but I only see Launcher.apk and Launcher2.apk. Can somebody tell me where the LauncherPro.apk would be?

If you downloaded Launcher Pro from the market, its not in /system and its not called launcherpro.apk.

Its in /data/app
And it's called com.fede.launcher.apk
