are themes smarter than i thought? changing lots of things?

hey,
i'm on bugless beast v1.0 currently and i applied the update.zip of NexTheme. its all great, but im confused. It changed a lot of icons and pictures. what i'm confused about is in meebo im I'm pretty sure it changed the pictures that come up when i hit the menu button, and i didnt know how it did this. they are not the stock ones and they fit with the theme, so i'm pretty sure it did.

is this possible now? i didnt know themes can do this. How can it?

Meebo runs default icons, ones that you can find in the phone in other places like settings and menu of stock apps, when they are changed in the theme they automaticly change in meebo too
