About LinkBacksI have the same issue. It gets stuck on framework-res.apk. I closed all the apps and still no go. Then again, I am using ADW so I don't know if its just me.

Anyways, here were the answeres to your question:
BBv1.0 Smoked Glass theme; I applied the Licorice icons after I manually converted the .thm to .xml as well as a round battery icon. Both were applied via Metamorph; I am using a P3Droid's 1 GHz kernel.
I chose the framework-res in xml, it gives me the popup warning, I say continue, and then it would just say "Installing yada yada..." and it would stay that way. I was able to still go to the homescreen and kill Metamorph that way. If I reboot, I did not get stuck on the M.
However, I did manage to get it to work just by turning on USB Debugging. I just wish someone explained this one to me. -
