I'd like to learn about Metamorph Theming

Since I haven't found an easy list with a bunch of themes, I thought I'd just put them here myself. My understanding thus far of Metamorph is, first you have to root your phone, you make a nandroid backup to be safe before you theme anything, and then you download Metamorph off the market, which can apply these themes here.

If you want me to add something to the list, just put a post in the thread and I'll tack it on.

    [MM Theme] Custom Colored Text

[MM Theme] Beautiful Widgets - No Text On Widgets

[MM theme] Camo and Blaze for 2.01

    [Metamorph Theme] High Res Blue

    (REQUESTED NEW!!)[Metamorph Theme] High-Res Red

    Glass Theme v1.01 for Metamorph

And if you've done it all and want to return to the stock look,

I know someone will look at this and say 'use the Search button!'

I have. The problem is there's SO MUCH stuff on here about it, I can't find something easy to understand. It all seems to assume the reader is already familiar with all of this (I'm not).

I'm running 2.1 rooted, installed Metamorph, and now I'm basically looking to see some themes to choose from. My understanding is that Metamorph allows you to pick and choose what bits and pieces of your GUI you want to mess around with.

It's all very confusing, trying to search on here and find a simple easy 'download this, click on that on Metamorph and you're done'. I personally would just like to make my icons look a little cooler and try some snazzy looking themes (while being able to return to the stock form at any time).

Does anyone have links to some examples?

What I did was basically "reverse engineer" someone elses MM theme to see how it works. Try that and see what you figure out. Download an existing MM theme, then open it up and mess around.

You know you are tempted to scan my QR Code. Just do it.

You volunteering to put the list together? It's one of the projects listed I'd like to do and make available over in the RS area but I haven't had the time.

Here are 3 such links you might be looking for. They are out there, you just need to dig. I bookmarked these as I came across them.

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

I believe when you root the stock 2.1, busybox is all set up for you. I just went to my terminal emulator, typed 'su' and then 'busybox' and it showed me various uses of the command.
