WARNING - New MetaMorph Pro Update 1.9.8.3!! - Don't update to it!

I start having problems applying MM themes to the Framework-res.apk today. It will never finish...and I mean never.., force closing didn't work..nothing but rebooting would stop it.

Everytime I tried any MM theme on framework-res it did the same.

Luckily I had backed up the previous 1.9.8.2. (Pro). so I unistalled the new one and reinstalled the old one...now works perfectly.

SO, if you are having problems in the last day or so theming framework-res and recently upgraded..this is why.

ummm....maybe read before you update? The past 2 updates have stated about chaning the xml files or something that unless the themes are updated to with the new xml's they wont work.

FYI, version 1.9.8.2 IS XML, that is all I use....now who was it that needs to read the updates ???

Just for clarity ALL of the other XML sub-themes work perfectly with the new 1.9.8.3 update.....EXCEPT framework-res.

With 1.9.8.2 ALL XML sub-themes work perfectly INCLUDING framework-res.

1.9.8.4 is out for MM and supposedly it fixes that problem but idk yet cus i havent tried still

1.9.8.4 still have the same problem. I am working with the Developer on this issue.

In the meantime if you make sure USB Debugging is turned ON it will not do a continuous loop when applying framework-res themes.

This was not needed in 1.9.8.2 but the later version seems to require it now.

The new version still doesn't work on framework-res. Does anyone have the .apk for 1.9.8.2 (or earlier) that they could post until the dev fixes it?

Here is the latest from the Dev concerning the requirement of always having USB Debuggging turned on when using MM to stop the framework-res theming issue (which is really a hidden Market issue).

"Looks like this is now a requirement to use Metamorph in order to fix the market issue."

So the end result is you must always have USB Debugging on when using MetaMorph. Not a big deal just nice to know for sure.

Going to suggest this is part of the system checks and that it will warn you if it is not on.

Do you know if this has been resolved. I got another update today and my version is now 1.9.8.5.
