    trasnparent genie widget??

    i have been looking all over for this can anyone help me ?? i need it for a rooted droid

    Here's one that I didn't test in landscape mode since i never use it. It's the APK file so rename it appropriately.

    i added this to my sd card and when i made the widget its still not transparent....btw im running BBv01 with the nextheme.
    i renamed the .zip to apk

    here is how in case someone wants to do it ..
    First download this file and move it to the root of your sdcard.
    In order to get this to work you need to uninstall/backup (through adb) your old GenieWidget.apk.

    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    mv /system/app/GenieWidget.apk /system/app/GenieWidget.bak
    cp -R sdcard/GenieWidget.zip /system/app/GenieWidget.apk
    mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    sync

    Then just remove the old widget for the home screen and add the new one...and Voila!

    Here I go again now this isnt working on petes new BB1.1 rom lol
    I am using this again ... I am trying to put the transparent genie on my droid while running bb1.1 and I am having some issues,it worked fine on bbv1 but when i try to install it on 1.1 i get a error I am using these instructions which worked perfect on bbv1...

    Try sysrw instead of the whole mount command.
