Anyone theme/use adb with VMWare Fusion on a mac?

I am getting comfortable theming on a PC, but unfortunately don't have steady access to one yet. Does anyone/has anyone successfully used VMWare fusion to use adb? I would like to theme my droid on my mac but I can't get the motorola drivers to successfully install as the host folder isn't C:\, but something like .\\host, and therefore it can't properly location certain files (I suppose). If anyone could help me figure out how to install the drivers so that adb could recognize my droid that would be great! I have gotten adb installed and when I type adb devices the list of devices is blank, which to my understanding is directly linked to improperly/not installed drivers. Thanks in advance!!
