can't get 960x854 images - help?

For some reason, the images are all being copied at 600x534. The "Click on image to view larger image." never works for me. Anyone else having this problem?

Maybe i should clarify. When I try to download any wallpapers from the wallpaper gallery on this forum, every single one comes in downsized. I click on the image to view a larger one and it doesnt work. anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem.

Also I see their are 2 sizes for the images, and the one I download is the smaller one, I can't figure out how to get to the larger higher res image?

Yup. I'm surprised no one else has noticed the problem. I've tried it on a couple different machines with both firefox and IE. No luck. Maybe most people here aren't aware they're getting the lower quality images. I think it's a problem with the website. When I head over to flickr's site or other droid forums, there's no problem getting the hi-res images. Maybe something's wrong with the uploading functionality of the images- downsampling the originals and losing the hi-res version. Hope this gets fixed b/c there's a lot of good wallpapers here.

yeah the entire wallpaper thing sucks, i hate the layout and functionality, needs to be revamped

I have the same problem, but if you copy the top link at the bottom of the page you can get the full size image by pasting it into your browser and deleting most of the link until you get this: http://www.droidforums.net/gallery/d...oid_WP_651.jpg

I would bring it to one of the mods attention....

They are pretty responsive and quick. I usually just navigate to the gallery on my device and download right from there.

ok - that helped. I can now get the hi-res images from this forum's wallpaper gallery. But i think i should clarify for others:

When you click on a wallpaper, you get a few links below, i.e. "linked thumbnail, linked medium, medium image"

Copy the link under 'medium image' and past it into your browser bar, but delete the word 'medium' from the address. For example, if the link is:
"http://www.droidforums.net/gallery/data/517/medium/FutureHal.jpg"
change it to :
"http://www.droidforums.net/gallery/data/517/FutureHal.jpg"
that should give you the 960x854 image
