I just saw this thread. I met Aleksandra about 2 1/2 years ago in the Czech Republic while on a business trip for my company. I'm with an architectural firm and went over there to bid on a job designing a new mall/entertainment complex. The developer was interested in a Western theme, cowboy and Indian type stuff, and wanted all the store fronts to resemble an American city from the early 1800s. He had the idea that creating this kind of 'destination shopping' would really be appealing to the Czech people.

I spent four days over there learning about their culture and drawing up some preliminary designs. It became clear to me that the western theme was more than just a crazy idea for a mall. A lot of the men and women I met on the streets or in restaurants dressed in 'western wear.' I noticed early on in my trip that a lot of people seemed to be wearing cowboy boots and Wrangler jeans. And the shirts ran the gamut of classic western to what could only be described as Liberace western. In fact, you couldn't swing a dead cat over there without hitting someone wearing a shirt with snaps instead of buttons. In the end however the deal fell through when the developer lost millions on a bad horse deal.
