Learned that one to ... before you can paste, you have to press the. button in upper right that shows 'mount R/W' then paste otherwise you get a 'read only' type message.

No, Root Explorer wasn't a free app but don't remember it costing a lot, and definitely worth it.

Hmm.
I went and bought Root Explorer, and followed the instructions step by step, and when I get to applying a Live Wallpaper (any of them), I get "The application Android Live Wallpapers (process com.android.wallpaper) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm kinda waiting for a response to that one too, asked it a few posts back. As of now the only LWP I can enable is the ugly green smoke, everything else gives me the same error you're getting.

Get the File here: Android2_9_LiveWallpapers.apk

1. Download the File
2. rename the file to LiveWallpapers.apk (MAKE SURE ITS EXCAT THE SAME)
3. Copy it to the SD Card
4. Open root explorer
5. Copy the LiveWallpapers.apk to /system/app
6. Acknowledge overwrite
7. Make the permisions of the file look like this

X X O

X O O

X O O

(x means a checked box)

8. Then reboot
9. Goto the Live wallpapers and select the one looking like Nexus stock (neural network)


YOU NEED TO HAVE ROOT FOR THIS!!!!

Hopefully my question isn't beside the point of this thread. but I just got my droidx and was wondering what theme you're using. your clock widget looks really slick, is it part of hte stock theme? would like to run them on my droidx as well.
