new to this with a few questions..

So I have a few questions...
How do I edit the actual phone dialer, the bar at the top(where the time, battery, signal, ect) are, facebook widget, google search widget, and keypad themes?
The main thing I want to do is add transperency to these, and make them darker colors instead of light(much like the ultimate droid ROM).

I'm using Bettercut and HelixLauncher on my phone, and it is rooted for whatever information needed...Do I need to download a custom ROM to be able to do this or is there a way to edit this myself?

Not sure about 2, I dont diddle around in code too much, so someone else can better answer this question.
