I like how with both you get bottom icons so you don't waste space. I tend to think Home++ is slightly faster. What do you guys think? Or any others? BTW I used to use Launcher2. LOL. FCs and slowness =[

I prefer helix. I hated the Home++ buttons.
Helix is fast, the bottom buttons are customizable and I never have any issues with it.
dxtop is the best imo
Try using launcher instead of launcher2. In the description when you go to download launcher2 it says that if you want speed and smoothness use launcher.

I used Home++ most of the time until the Helix Launcher came out. So i am using that now. Helix is much faster then Home++ and i had hardly had any force closes on Home++. I dont have any on Helix.
I miss the power strip but in the end, the shortcuts supplements for the power strip rather well pending on your preferences.
Helix + Bettercut you can make the four buttons do just about anything you want thenand helix "not helix 2" is much faster imo then home++

And for news on my future Launcher themes once I find the time to start theming them again.
We must have a weird combo of apps on our Droids, as I too find Home++ (especially the most recent update) to be noticeably faster than Helix Launcher1, with roughly the same number of widgets on each.
Two things I don't like about Helix... You can't hide/skin the notification bar, so you always have the ugly white bar at the top (unless you root, of course). The other is the launcher does weird things to the shortcut icons, and makes them jagged and ugly (depending on the icon set).
I bounce back and forth daily between Helix and Home++, though.
