MM Theme 0))) A Clean Black Theme!!!

Hello all In my search for a dark theme (kinda sick of the smoked glass look) I ran across this theme for the N1 [Theme] O))) - Version 0.05.3 - CM 5.0.5.2/Enomther's 1.7.1 - Fixed [03-23] - xda-developers made by david1171 it was what I was looking for. I tried to load it just to see what happend. needless to say it wasnt made for the droid. it broke alot of things! So I decided to port it to our device it is working 100% on our device and I also made it into a MM theme!

What is skinned:

There are over 4200 images modified!

ok here is my Port of this theme for BB and Im sure it will work on other 2.1 roms but I havent tested yet! see above post for all the details on whats skinned. This is a MetaMorph theme! Microsnook is working on a port as well with some of his modified images, and will be added to this post when he is finished testing it. My Port is the same as the one for the Koush rom but I ported to work on BB! Do note I dont use the home Launcher so I snagged the one from hex fusion.

Installation is a bit choppy, but take your time and follow all instructions.
*Please make a backup of all data before installing any new themes*

What you are getting w/ this theme is a custom framework, which includes:
-custom 3G icon (data transfer in blue, by microsnook)
-custom sync icon (microsnook)
-custom battery icon (thanks to stanrc)
-verizon wireless replaced with "Bugless Dark"
-custom wifi signals (microsnook)
-custom answer and unlock slide buttons (microsnook)
-new USB icon
-vibrate icon (from smoked glass)
-sd card icon (microsnook)

I think thats all.

Here is the full detailed instructions!
Metamorph won't apply framework-res to ESE53? (A noob guide to adb pull/push theming)

-Download framework-res.apk from link and put it on your desktop for now
-Plug your phone into computer using usb cable
-Doesnt matter if you mount the phone or not
-Open up command prompt
(type the following exactly how I have it here, do not copy and paste

cd\
cd AndroidSDK\tools\
adb devices
adb remount
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk c:/AndroidSDK/tools

(minimize the cmd prompt now and go into your tools folder under AndroidSDK)

-Drag the framework-res.apk you downloaded into the tools folder overwriting your current framework file (*you may want to rename the file "framework-res.apkOEM" and drag it to your desktop if you want to go back later*)
-Once the new framework-res.apk is in your tools directory, you can close out of this window

(open up the command prompt again)
(type this in exactly how I have it

adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb reboot

-Now your phone will reboot. (Doesnt matter if its unplugged or not at this point)
-This process will sign you out of you goolge accounts and any other accounts when done. So make sure you go into Settings>Accounts and Sync, and sign back into your accounts!
-Let the phone sync until it is done

That is the framework portion of the installation. ***When completed, make another nandroid backup incase something goes wrong during the MM install process***

This section is for the MetaMorph installation:

(If you are having busybox issues, please go here to fix them: Bugless Beast V0.9 (Awsome Features) NexusMod Works!)

-Download the two separate files
-Mount phone via usb
-Navigate into AndroidThemes on the sd card and drag these two files in there (do not rename anything)
-When finished, unmount the device
-Open up MM and click "pick theme"
-Click on one of the themes you just dragged onto the sd card and let it extract
-When its done click "apply all!"
(if you receive any force closes, just hit force close and do not worry about it)

If it does not work the first time, go back into MM and click existing theme, from there click on the themes I have provided and then click on the second THM file and then click apply all.

(Do not click on the first .thm file, make sure you click on the second one!)

After everything is applied for both MMs, reboot the phone and enjoy the changes!!!

I used the N1 version of this on CM 5.0.4.2 one time....I just had to remove the Launcher2.apk from the theme zip file. And I ran it for a few days no problem. So it works on the Droid.

Could easily be done. Only thing that needs to be really changed is the framework xmls and the services.jar and it would work for ESE53 builds.

You too with backup's not working. I get a MD5 checksum error when trying to load a backup.
