Where is the dialer apk?

Sucks, but you can't search for anything including the word apk so I couldn't find this information. It doesn't appear to be in system/app or data/app....so I must be missing it.

Not sure if this is what you are searching for but you can go to settings...then manage applications and then hit the menu key and then click filter. Should be there.

Sigh, another bunch of buttons that are auto-locked in photoshop. Anyone know where to get a different phone.apk without having to edit it elsewhere?

Check [THEME] Desire theme

Though I can't get it to work on my phone (Cyanogen 5.0.4.2), the 2.1 theme has phone.apk, and the 2.0.1 theme(s) have contacts.apk

If you can get it working, you will be my personal hero (for now )

I found the dialer. It's in the contacts section. THe phone apk has some stuff too so you need them both.

Why doesn't it work?

No idea. When I applied it to my phone it screwed up the dial pad completely and made it totally unresponsive.

I had to restore Contacts.apk and Phone.apk from the Cyanogen source through adb to get them working again. It was weird.

I'm guessing it was something to do with the xml files through metamorph, but that's simply a guess. I don't think I tried to replace just the images.
