About LinkBacksI am running the HexFusion blue them and I want to change the text and color of the app drawer handle. I want it to have the same font and background. I want to change it to green and add "Irish" in front of the exsisting Droid logo. Anyone interested in helping me out? Thanks!

03-14-2010 08:03 AMI hope you don't mind me piggybacking my question on yours.... I also want to change the handle. I'm running DroidMod 1.0 with no themes or anything, and I don't really want to do a theme or a home app replacement. Is there a way to do this?

03-14-2010 09:33 AMCopy the launcher.apk from system/app to your SD card. Put it on your PC.
Extract the file using 7zip. Modify whatever PNG files you want and keep the names the same.
Then OPEN the launcher.apk with 7zip. Drop the modified PNG files into the correct folders in the archive. It will replace the files with the same name.
Then put the modified file back on your sd card.
Use root explorer to paste the new launcher.apk back into system/app (after mounting as R/W). It will overwrite the original.
Then change that file's permission to look like this where X is a checkmark and O is no checkmark.

Then mount back as RO, then reboot.
Search the threads I have started for my modified launcher with some more detailed instructions.
Reply back here if you have questions. I do this a lot and I always use root explorer, rather than adb. -

I only know how to do things like chmod in a unix shell! heh.>^,,^<
