they are nice, and better than the ones we've been getting. are you gonna do something about it so that we can have them? i'd buy a package...
I'll probably just put a set together and give them away. Everyone let me know what else you want (I already got a few requests but give me more). Also let me know what color backgrounds you guys want.
Ok, thanks. If I made a ton more icons, do you think I could get like .99 for it on the Market?
I would pay for a REALLY big icon pack.
I like Bettercut but I have stopped using it because either the icon packs were too limited...or the icons them selves were too small when I put them on the phone.
I think your boxes look really good.
My fave so far were the glared orbs....I just stopped using them because they were limited and I found myself picking random icons that did not make sense...and that bugged me.
I would love an Icon pack that matched the smoked glass looks of BB or Ultimate. I have dabbled with trying to make my own...just have not had the time to get it done.

Like you, I agree that I would pay for a big icon pack. If a developer wants to make some money off an icon pack, I think this is really what they need to do:
Create a good handful of different icon templates/themes, make icons for each of the stock apps, make icons for each of the most popular market apps, and then make a dozen or so multi-purpose/general icons that could be used if a particular market app you like isn't represented.
I would definitely throw down a couple bucks for something like that.
Need work, like them, etc? I have a version in blue as well. Just wanted to know if they looked like complete crap or you think people would want them? Also, how do you make an icon pack available for the market so that you could maybe sell them?
I like them all except for the Gmail icon. That one stands out too much to me because it is the only icon that smaller, angled, and has a reflection.

What do the blue set of icons look like? And a red or chromed set would look great also!

I actually like the GMail icon

Below is an example.
Not really. The background is the same. For example, the GMail icon was from the web and I cut it and Photoshopped it in. The Droid icon for the phone is from the smilies. Every icon is pretty much different. I can re-create that icon background in a heartbeat from one of 14359873204985 Photoshop tutorials available on the internet for free. I have the iBox pack. The reason I created my own stuff is because honestly I thought the actual icon portion looked very meh.
Like I said, anyhow, I'm not going to resell them.

Just blue instead of black background basically.

The only way you can sell icon packs is if you make them from scratch.
You are essentially taking somebody's FREE icons and customizing them.
So no you cannot sell these on the Market.
Actually they are free for distribution and modified. I'm not taking his or her icons and just packaging them for sale, I spent a lot of time making these myself. I didn't even re-use most the icons really. But anyhow, if you actually read the thread you would see I said I wasn't going to sell them so it's somewhat of a moot point anyhow.
Anyone have any requests for more colors or more apps? Because basically I only made icons for myself...and I don't use a lot of icons (just what you see). So I don't have all the "basics"

I'll go back and edit the post just in case anyone else doesn't read the whole thread.
I did read the entire thread. Thats why I responded and answered your question.
It sounded like you were still considering selling them which is a big no no.
I was only trying to help you avoid a big problem down the road if you tried to sell them.
