[MM Theme] Custom Colored Text

This is a MM theme for just the notification bar.

As with changing anything on you phone, please make a backup before trying this out. As I am not responsible for messing your phone up.

It is a black bar with your choice of color text built in. (If you just want the text look at the bottom)
This is for 2.01, ESE53 2.1, and looking to update to CyanogenMod 2.1

EDIT: I am open to requests for different colors. Please visit this site Web Color Chart - Hexadecimal - by VisiBone and post the hex code you would like.

3/24 - Found a way to get BB .9 to work and will be incorporating into the 2.1 themes.

3/21 - Cyanogen 5.0.5 color text is now available thanks to this Need Help: Patching services/framework with colour Changer in CM 5.0.5.1 - xda-developers.

3/4 - Have now got the ERE25 build and Black Droid MM notification bars. 2.1 is up and going with the newest one of 9900CC.
Going to be changing the attachments to 4 shared to support more development.

Attached is the MM theme to apply it follow these instructions

• Download the .zip file
• Place file on sdcard in /sdcard/androidthemes
• Open MM (if you don't have it, it is on the Market for free)
• Hit the button to pick theme and click on the bowerbar.zip
• Once it is done unpacking select framework-res and hit apply. (it will ask you to restart DO NOT)
• Then hit color.cpy
• When done it will ask to restart, go ahead.

For text only

• If you just want the text, do this. Extract the .zip file.
• Go to /framework-res/res and delete the drawable-hdpi and drawable-land-hdpi folders. So you should have just the layout folder in there.
• Now take the extract folder of bowerbar_whatevercolor and put it in /sdcard/androidthemes.
• Then in MM select existing theme and click on the correct folder.
• After that click on the .thm file and run both framework-res and whatevercolor.cpy.
• Should restart and the only thing that should change is the text.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BB USERS (I TESTED THIS ON .9)
Download the .zip file
Place file on sdcard in /sdcard/androidthemes
In terminal or ADB run enablescripts (this has to be done to do what it says enablescripts)
Open MM and select pick theme.
Once package is down unpacking, select Scripts.cpy. (It may ask to restart, but is not needed)
Leave MM alone and then open ADB and type the following commands.

ADB commands

adb shell
framesd

Leave either ADB where it is at and open MM again.
Select framework-res.apk and apply it. (Do not restart when prompted)
Select color.cpy and apply it. (Do not restart when prompted)
Go back to ADB and type the following commands.

ADB commands

framesys

Doing this command will cause the phone to do what is called a short reboot.
It will take longer to boot the first time (this is a good sign that it worked)
Now you should have you colored text on BB.


If using MM 1.9.8 I have not updated these to work with the .xml format as of 5/1.
