    Smoked Glass(esque) Phone and Contacts Theme with MetaMorph

    Feb. 22 - MetaMorph Theme Added, replaced .apk files.

    Let me know of any successes or issues that you're having, I want to make sure this is working for everybody.


    Remember to perform a nandroid backup prior to installation, always better safe than sorry.

    In my mission to make everything match, I wanted to make the Phone and Contacts apps match a little better to the SmokedGlass ROM, so I went through and changed a few things:

    And for a little reference, here's my desktop:



    To install these (Must be rooted for these directions):

    1. Install MetaMorph App from Market
    2. Download SmokedGlassesque.zip (attached) and extract the folder
    3. Place on SD card in your MetaMorph Folder
    4. Open MetaMorph and select 'Existing Theme'
    5. Navigate to the SmokedGlassesque folder and select SmokedGlassesque.thm
    6. Select 'Apply All!'

    (The background file is attached as well, in case you really like stuff to match)

    You could easily set up a metamorph theme for this. Much more user friendly.

    Did you make sure to rename the files and drop them onto the main folder of the sdcard? Also, check for any syntax errors such as a missing / or something. And unmount the sdcard from the computer before trying the commands.

    I'll definitely look into that, this was just kind of a quick throwtogether for right now.

    Did you unmount the sd card first? It cannot be mounted while using these commands.

    Su
    Mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    Chmod 755 /system/xbin/busybox

    Then do the rest of the commands.
