    Boot Animation Gallery

There's a few custom boot animations in various threads but came across this:
    Boot Animations - Droidboots

It has a bunch of really cool boot-animations if anyone is interested.
You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe

its a nice site, but they need to have previews without having to click on each one. at least a still preview

I think the have it as is for purposes of load time(s). If they had them all load the previews load time for the page would be ridiculous. It would also be nearly unusable on slower connections (i.e. phones and people with bad ISPs).

DroidMod is pretty cool. I'm using Topsy's Blue Matrix but I really like the Midnight one think about loading that. I hope yours was posted with permission. I have no idea who it in charge of the site or posting the images.

How do you go about installing one of the custom boot animations from that site?

Just put the file in /data/local which allows you to keep original boot animation, you can use root explorer. Make sure the file name is bootanimation.zip once in /data/local

I don't have root explorer - would Astro work?

    Thanks for your help!

Astro wouldn't work, root explorer allows you to access the entire file system. You obviously need to be rooted.
